Writing For Transformative Justice

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How can we shift media narratives that center a carceral culture? We will look at how media narratives reinforce the idea of punishment as a goal and we will examine transformative justice-oriented media storytelling by feminists of color. We will talk about how writing our own stories is transformative. Participants will emerge with tools to use writing for healing, justice-seeking and transformation.
