Many cultural traditions of the Indigenous peoples of North America have been misrepresented or suppressed through the colonization process, especially when it comes to notions of gender, sex and sexuality. In this session we will examine the social and historical evidence of Two-Spirit people and the work to restore and reclaim their role in Indigenous culture. We will also discuss the organizing efforts and importance of the Two-Spirit Journal.
