Boozhoo/She:kon,
Excited to be presenting again at the AMC.
Honored to be the administrator for the first-ever Native American studies major in the State of Michigan at Northern Michigan University. Am now recruiting students to enroll in this historic program.
Work this summer also includes K-16 STEM education reform by merging American Indian inclusive pedagogy with STEM. Think about this = STEM+Great Lakes Indigenous ways of knowing/ways of being. Partly inspired by the amazing book, "Braiding Sweetgrass."
Working on PhD coursework in the Rhetoric, Theory and Culture program (with a focus on Visual Culture/Visual Studies) at Michigan Tech University.
Things I wish I had the time to do but I do love talking about: beading, composing, reading, traveling, cooking and writing.
I look forward to making new friends and seeing longtime friends at this conference.
